COVID Health & Safety Information

The health and safety of FOCIS 2026 Annual Meeting attendees remains our highest priority. To that end, FOCIS seeks to minimize the risk of infection exposure, specifically COVID-19 and its variants, by establishing health and safety protocols.

A full health and safety protocol will be published prior to the meeting. These health and safety protocols may be modified at any time by FOCIS based on its professional judgment about how best to protect the health and safety of in-person participants. Such changes will consider CDC and WHO guidance, emerging scientific evidence, existing meeting rules, and FOCIS policy. FOCIS’ health and safety protocols will also be based on federal, state, and local regulations, but FOCIS will set its own protocols based on the aforementioned input.

Are presentation slides available for the sessions?

FOCIS does not share presentation slides for the Annual Meeting sessions. FOCISed course presentation slides will be available on the course resources page when they are available.

How do I receive a certificate of attendance?

First, complete the meeting evaluation. Once submitted, you’ll automatically receive a PDF certificate of attendance via email. If you don’t receive it or have questions, feel free to contact us at info@focisnet.org.

How do I give feedback for the Annual Meeting?

We welcome your feedback! On the last day of the conference, we’ll email you a link to the evaluation form. You can also find it in our mobile app.

Does FOCIS 2026 registration give me access to the FOCISed pre-meeting courses?

No. FOCISed pre-meeting courses require separate registration and fees. You can choose a discounted two-course package or register for a single course. To add a course package to your FOCIS 2026 registration, visit the FOCISed courses webpage.

Where do I access the slides for the presentations?

You can access course slides on the relevant course resource webpage. We’ll email the link to all registered course or workshop participants before the event. If you can’t find the link, contact the FOCIS Executive Office at info@focisnet.org .

I am interested in attending all of the FOCISed pre-meeting courses. How can I register for more than two?

FOCIS 2026 will only have multiple FOCISed pre-meeting course each day. You can register to attend one.

Are any of the FOCISed Pre-Meeting Courses being recorded or livestreamed?

No. All FOCISed courses will take place in person only. We do not plan to record or livestream them.

I just want to attend a FOCISed Pre-Meeting Course, but I am unable to attend FOCIS 2026. Is this possible?

Yes. You can register for a one course without registering for the FOCIS 2026 Annual Meeting.

How do I access the abstract posters?

Posters can be viewed onsite during the meeting. There is not an online viewing option.

When will the poster hall be open?

The Discovery Center (poster & exhibit hall) opens the evening of Tuesday, June 9, 2026, and remains open through the evening of Thursday, June 11, 2026. Poster authors will be available during the evening attendee receptions on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights to answer questions and discuss their work.

When will I be notified my poster presentation date and time?

Accepted abstracts for poster presentations will be assigned to one evening poster session (Tuesday, June 9; Wednesday, June 10; or Thursday, June 11). The Discovery Center (poster & exhibit hall) will be open throughout the day. Presenting authors must set up the poster during the designated setup time. Presenting authors are not required to remain at their poster during the day, but must be present during their assigned evening poster reception. Being at your poster during scheduled coffee breaks is optional.

We’ll email final confirmation—including your presentation date, poster ID number, and session details—by the end of May, as long as you’ve completed your FOCIS 2026 registration and payment by March 20, 2026. Poster presentations are scheduled during the following evening receptions:

  • Tuesday, June 9, 2026, 5:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, June 10, 2026, 6:50 p.m. to 8:05 p.m.
  • Thursday, June 11, 2026, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
How do I know which posters are being presented each day?

Each poster has a number starting with a letter (e.g., W399). The letter indicates the day:

  • Tu = Tuesday
  • W = Wednesday
  • Th = Thursday
What are the poster preparation requirements?

We strongly recommend printing your poster in advance. However, you may print and pick up your poster onsite at the hotel’s FedEx Office. All onsite printing orders are the presenter’s responsibility. You must stand with your poster during your assigned evening reception. Posters will not be allowed without an accompanying presenter. Presenters place their own print orders. Posters must not exceed 4’ wide × 4’ high. Two posters will share each display board. FOCIS has partnered with the onsite FedEx Office at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis to offer 30% off poster printing through May 25, 2026. Email the completed poster order form and 36” × 48” PDF to usa5515@fedex.com. Payment and pickup are on the B2 level. Questions: 415-369-9928 or usa5515@fedex.com.

You may view the FOCIS Annual Meeting Abstract Policy for additional guidelines and requirements.

I would like to search for a poster. How do I do that?

Use the search feature in the FOCIS 2026 mobile app or the interactive program microsite to find abstracts by poster number, author’s last name, and more. This feature will be available in early June.

Is there a list of all the scientific abstracts that were submitted for the meeting?

Yes. We publish all accepted abstracts in the Abstract Supplement (PDF), which you’ll find on the FOCIS website, microsite, and mobile app. This document becomes publicly available in early June.

Will there be an exhibit hall at the meeting?

Yes, there is an exhibit hall. This year it is now called the Discovery Center! If you are interested in participating as an exhibitor, please submit an interest form or reach out to us at info@focisnet.org to discuss exhibiting further.

Registration List-Sharing Policy

FOCIS does not share its registration list. Companies or individuals are sending phishing emails to some FOCIS members and FOCIS 2026 Annual Meeting attendees, claiming to offer our attendee lists. This is a common, albeit unwanted, occurrence at conferences and trade shows. No third-party company is authorized to distribute or sell any email lists from our events, nor is FOCIS providing these lists or generating these messages.

If you receive an email offering to sell you a list of FOCIS 2026 Annual Meeting attendees, do not respond to it. By responding—even with a request to unsubscribe—you confirm that your email address is a valid one, which may increase the likelihood that you’ll be contacted again.

If you have any questions, please contact the FOCIS Executive Office at +1 414-359-1670 or info@focisnet.org.

FOCIS Annual Meeting Guest Policy

The guest registration rate includes access to all social events, such as exhibit and poster hall receptions and scheduled coffee breaks. Please note that this rate does not include access to scientific sessions or a certificate of attendance. Guest registration is intended for individuals who are at least 13 years of age and are accompanying a registered attendee in a non-professional, non-healthcare, non-college, and non-business-related capacity. This rate is limited to personal guests and is not available to abstract presenters, who are required to register for the full meeting.
