With over 120 attendees and 5 continents represented, it was an excellent week in Jaipur, India. The 2019 Asian Advanced Course in Basic and Clinical Immunology was held March 26 – 29, 2019, with the theme: Advances in Immunology, Immune Monitoring, and Immunotherapy. Thanks to the attendees, sponsors, and faculty for making the course a success.
This popular FOCIS course is a unique opportunity to learn the latest developments in immunology and to engage with renowned faculty. Twelve leading immunologists covered major topics in cellular and molecular immunology. The course featured three days of lectures, evening poster presentations, and a group networking event including local tour of cultural sites in the historic Jaipur area. On the last evening of the course, attendees enjoyed a gala dinner including Rajasthani folk artists who got the crowd up on their feet for some traditional folk dances.
Congratulations also to nine FOCIS Abstract Travel Award recipients hailing from India, Singapore, Iran, and Canada, whose top-scoring abstracts were selected by the course’s Abstract Committee.
