FOCIS Committees

FOCIS Committees are the driving force behind the success of the Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies (FOCIS). These dedicated volunteer groups shape the direction of the organization by leading essential programs, planning the FOCIS Annual Meeting, and guiding strategic initiatives. By serving on a FOCIS Committee, members make a meaningful impact in advancing clinical immunology and strengthening the global FOCIS network.

Committee for Inclusion and Representation (CIR)

The CIR’s purpose is to 1) ensure inclusive representation in committees and leadership and participation in meetings, 2) monitor or audit member demographics to establish benchmark metrics (include both members and event attendees), and 3) develop programs to increase equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee is responsible for creating, revising, and overseeing the annual communications plan, communication guidelines, social media channels, and online forums. They also suggest innovative methods for FOCIS to interact with its members and other individuals through different forms of media.

Education Committee

The Education Committee is charged with overseeing the creation of educational programs that maintain, develop and increase the knowledge, understanding, skills and professional performance of trainees and investigators in the broad field of clinical immunology, and that enable basic scientists to understand the pathogenesis of immunological disease and the principles of clinical research.
